Worship and Music Ministry
The Worship and Music Ministry at Calvary Baptist gives you the opportunity to use your love for music to
express your love for Jesus Christ. Each week we have a variety of ways for you to develop and use your
musical gifts to serve the Lord. The primary purpose of the Worship and Music Ministry is to coordinate, lead
and support the worship music of our weekly worship services. Our goal is for each service to honor and
glorify God while deeply engaging the hearts of the worshippers. We believe that worship should be biblically
driven and culturally relevant. To that end, our church uses both the best of today's dynamic praise songs
blended with great time-honored hymns. Each week, when you attend our services, we hope that our music
will help you experience a powerful, genuine, life-changing personal encounter with the living Lord, Jesus
Christ. We have a number of choirs and Praise Teams so whether you’re 4 or 104 Calvary Baptist has a choir
and a worship ministry for you.
Worship and Music Ministry Opportunities:
Music Makers: Age 4 – 1st Grade Wednesdays @ 6:30 p.m.
Young Musicians: 2nd grade – 6th grade Wednesdays @ 6:30 p.m.
Youth Praise Team: 2nd and 4th Sundays @ 4:30 p.m.
Young Adult Praise Team: 1st and 3rd Sundays @ 4:30 p.m.
Sanctuary choir: Sundays @ 5:30 p.m.
Young @ Heart Choir: Mondays @ 9:00 a.m. Fellowship Time and practice @ 9:30 a.m.
Handbell Choir: Wednesdays @ 5:30 p.m.
A Note From Bro. Monty With the Singing Calendar for 2011
Do you you have a quartet or trio that would like to sing? Please contact me and we will work you in.....as
always if you can't minister on the assigned Sunday please contact the church office ASAP so that other
arrangements can be made....and if you know of someone who should be on this list please let me know!..
