Bro. Monty has been at Calvary as Minister of Music and Senior Adults since September of 2006.
He is married to Joan and they have two grown children. Aaron, their daughter is 23 and lives in
Oklahoma City where she is currently the editor of the Midwest City Sun newspaper. Their son
Micah 22 is currently enrolled in the University of Central Oklahoma and is studying in the field of
medicine.
Joan is currently employed as Music Teacher at Northwest Heights Elementary in Durant and has
taught music in the public schools for 17 years, in addition to helping with children’s choirs in
churches with Bro. Monty.
Monty is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant and has served full
time in churches since 1983. His former churches include FBC Tishomingo, FBC Minco, Sunset
Baptist in Ponca City and Calvary Baptist in Durant.
